AGILE PROJECT 2022 Adolescent Girls Initiative for Learning and Empowerment

The AGILE project is a five-year initiative of the Federal government with the support from world Bank. It aims to improve secondary education opportunities for adolescent girls and empower them to earn a living. The seven participating states include Borno, Ekiti, Kano, Kaduna, Katsina, Kebbi, and Plateau. The project seeks to support the Government of Nigeria and State-level education programs in the states covering secondary education, thus contributing to Nigeria’s long-term objective of human capital development for sustaining economic growth and poverty reduction.

OUR ROLE

Upperlink Limited provided technical support to Katsina State by enabling the effective and transparent disbursement of funds through a secure and easy to use portal system developed by our inhouse programmers. The portal was used to register beneficiaries and create a digital database from the approved list of beneficiaries as well as document identity through ID and face capture. The platform also facilitated the smooth disbursement of funds through its payment management features This project was done in partnership with fidelity bank and Interswitch. Through the hard work and dedication of all parties involved, Katsina State has also emerged best overall state in the AGILE project. Humanitarion Project 2021

The Humanitarian project 2021 is a cash grant project funded by the World Bank and executed by the federal ministry of humanitarian affairs. This Philanthropic endeavor aimed at disaster management and social development for vulnerable groups such as the less privileged, persons with disabilities, disaster victims and the aged. Upperlink Limited partook in the project to enable transparent and effective distribution of the funds to the beneficiaries as well as ensure the preservation of records for 16 states in the South- West and North-Central parts of Nigeria. The process was made possible through a portal system developed by Upperlink Limited which enabled approved lists from the ministry to be uploaded on the portal and identified through ID, and face capture which are all stored in a secure database.
